Product Description
Carboxyl modified teranary copolymer AH-VMCH
Characteristice: A high molecular weight resin containing approximately 86 percent vinyl chloride, 13 percent vinyl acetate, and 1 percent maleic acid. Because of the carboxyl group, VMCH has excellent adhesion on metal, especially on aluminum foil, the resin foil also has a good adhesion on PVC , ABS, paper, textiles, concrete, etc. At the same time, VMCH has good water resistance, excellent oil, ester, acid, alkali and salt water solution resistance.
Solubility: VMCH is usually dissolved in relatively strong solvent/diluent combinations, such as ketone/aromatic diluent (50/50 percent by weight), to produce solutions of 22 to 25 percent solids. Ketones and esters is the most commonly used solvents, and chlorinated hydrocarbons, amide used only in a few occasions. Ketones is a particularly good solvent, and esters is the relatively weak solvent. Chlorinated hydrocarbons such as dichloroethane and 1,2 – dichloroethane can be completely dissolved VMCH, and methyl chloroform and tetrachloroethane can only swell it. Aromatic hydrocarbons have a good role in the swelling, generally using with ketone.
Application: VMCH is used primarily for air-dry finishes, such as maintenance, marine and metal coatings, aluminum foil varnish, cans sealed paint, shoe adhesive, floor paint, cement paint, silk screen printing and transfer printing ink. VMCH often mixes with AH-40 (Equivalent to Wacker H40/60), used in the production of heat sealing packaging coatings, can effectively reduce the heat sealing temperature, raise the heat sealing strength. It also can be used to produce the VC sealing plastic packaging, Electro-chemical aluminum paint, thermal transfer adhesive.
